FDL County Board Races

All 25 Fond du Lac County supervisors took out nomination papers to run for reelection next April. County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says Tom Dornbrook filed non-candidacy papers for District 6 because he moved out of the district. Dornbrook was the Brandon-Fairwater Police Chief until this past summer when he became the Police Chief in Campbellsport. He has taken out nomination papers to run for County supervisor for District 9. That seat is currently held by Joseph Koch. Freiberg says it looks like there will be a couple of races for County supervisor positions in the City of Fond du Lac.  District 18 is currently represented by Tom Kitchen who was appointed to the board after Paul Levandowski passed away. Levandowski’s widow Pat has taken out papers for that seat. In District 17 incumbent supervisor Jay Myrechuck could be challenged by Brett Abitz. Frieberg says there could be a primary election in February. It looks like there may be three candidates for State Supreme Court. Incumbent Justice Michael Gableman decided not to seek reelection.
