FDL County Continues To Be Affordable Place to Work/Raise Family

The 2019 second quarter Cost of Living Index (COLI) for Fond du Lac County has decreased slightly from first
quarter and remains below the national average. That’s the latest information
coming from Envision Greater Fond du Lac after the most recent data collection.
The after-tax cost for a professional or managerial standard of living stands at
96.0 or 4.0% below the national average. FDL County
continues to be a very affordable place to live, work, and raise a family. The
composite index of 96.0 for the Fond
du Lac
area is based on six different categories:
grocery items, housing, utilities, transportation, health care, and miscellaneous
goods and services. The Green Bay area is the
least expensive at 90.7 (9.3% below average) with Madison the most expensive in the state at
105.9 or 5.9% above average.
