FDL County Fair Gets Underway

The 166th Fond du Lac County Fair gets underway today. There are a few changes from past fairs. Fair Board President Katie Grinstead says for one thing admission to the fair is free this year. She says their goal this year is to give people options. If you park on the grounds there is a $5 charge per carload whether you are by yourself or bring people with you. People will also be charged for admission to the Grandstand to watch the entertainment there. She says that allows them to bring performers like Martina McBride and Ted Nugent to the fair this year. She says tickets for general admission are $30, which you can buy at the gate. Today at the fair you can ride most of the carnival rides for just $1. Tonight at the Grandstand there is the tractor pull with a $10 admission fee. KFIZ’s Bob Hoffmaster will be doing the Morning Show today at the fair from 9:30 a.m. to Noon.
