FDL County Inches Closer To Return To Phase 1 Of “Safe Restart”

351. That’s the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County over the past month. To put that
into perspective, it took the county almost 5 months to hit 335 confirmed
cases. 43 new cases have been confirmed since Friday afternoon, and that has
pushed the FDL County Safe Restart metrics, relative to new cases, back into
red.

That information comes from the FDL County Health Department’s “Safe
Restart” dashboard. It also means there’s concern with the recent trend. While
the county is currently at Phase 2 of the plan, it’s also bordering on taking a
major step back, and heading to Phase 1. That would mean, most notably,
social gatherings being limited to no more than 10. With a few weeks of summer
remaining before Labor Day and the start of the school, all eyes will be on the
Health Department Dash Board.
