FDL County Sees A Quiet Day On The COVID Front

The first day of drive-thru COVID-19 testing at the Fairgrounds in Fond du Lac saw a steady stream of people rolling through the Cow Palace. Reports are that the original 450 tests allotted for the day were gone in a hurry. Now, we’ll wait and see if the increased testing offers any spikes in numbers. The Thursday COVID-19 numbers in the county were relatively quiet, compared to the triple-digit increases in positive cases we’ve seen over the past few weeks. There were 30 confirmed cases reported Thursday, which takes the county total to 3,825 since March. Another highlight was a decrease of 23 in active cases, and another 53 cases classified as “recovered”, with total recovered cases now at 2,607. With almost 270 negative tests reported, Fond du Lac County should top the 28,000 total negative test mark today.
