FDL County Sees Drop Of 642 Active COVID Cases, Almost 800 More Recovered

The good news relative to COVID-19 in Fond du Lac County is a decrease of 642 active cases, and another almost 800 cases recovered, as well as a drop down to 8 hospitalizations. The not so good news is another 141 positive tests confirmed on Wednesday, bringing the county total to 4,654. There were just shy of 100 negative tests, bringing the total so far to 29,168 

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic in Wisconsin has surpassed 200-thousand. The state Department of Health Services confirmed over 3,800 new coronavirus cases and 45 deaths on Wednesday. With fewer than 10,000 tests processed in the prior 24 hours, the daily positive test rate was 39 percent. The seven-day positive test rate was 27.2 percent. There have now been 210,126 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with more than 43,000  — 21% — considered active. Governor Tony Evers says his simple message regarding COVID-19 is stay home, saves lives. The total statewide death toll is approaching 1,900.
