FDL County Sheriff’s Department Continues To Educate On Safer At Home

Another week of staying “Safer at Home” is underway in Wisconsin, as people across the state are asked to continue doing their part to slow down the coronavirus outbreak.

While the order remains in effect, Lieutenant Eric Halbach with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office tells KFIZ News their goal remains to encourage people and businesses alike to voluntarily comply with the order. “That’s going to happen through continuing education. Trying to explain to everyone that this is not our order. This order is from the Department of Health Services, and the Governor’s order. It’s our job to enforce it.”

Halbach says the majority of business owners and people in the county continue to do the right thing and comply with the orders. The latest “Safer at Home” order is scheduled to run through 8 AM on May 26th.
