FDL County Tops 17,000 Negative COVID-19 Tests, 95 Positive Cases Reported Over Weekend

95 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend. That’s the number being reported for Fond du Lac County by the Fond du Lac County Health Department. The latest numbers released Monday afternoon shows an additional 88 active cases, bringing total active cases to 302. Total hospitalizations rose slightly, now showing 11 people needing medical care due to the coronavirus.

The recent updates to the “Safe Restart” dashboard show the county remains in the “concern” level when it comes to cases, and in a “caution” mode when it comes to hospitals in the county having the ability to treat all patients  without resorting to crisis standards.

The numbers the past few weeks caused concern relative to moving forward in the Safer Restart phase. Fond du Lac County was in Phase 2. With almost 300 new cases in less than a month, the county is now back in Phase 1.
