FDL County Tops 18,000 Negative COVID-19 Tests

Two days of community COVID-19 testing provided a bulk of the more than 600 negative tests that were processed over the weekend in Fond du Lac County. A total of 18,291 negative tests have now been reported, along with 768 recovered cases.

A total of 85 positive cases were also reported since Friday, bringing the county total COVID-19 cases to 1,153, with 375 active cases. While the statewide numbers seem to be trending downward, the numbers in Fond du Lac County and counties north have recently been trending up. With Labor Day weekend approaching, and some students heading back to classes locally, the next few weeks could prove to be critical in whether the county remains in Phase One of the “Safe Restart” or is able to creep back to Phase Two and move forward again.
