FDL County Tops 36,000 Negative COVID-19 Tests

Monday marked twelve days since Thanksgiving, and what could be the start of rising COVID-19 numbers, or the hope that numbers start to go back the other way. Fond du Lac County Health Department reported 220 new confirmed cases on Monday, pushing the total count over 9,100. There were over 500 tests processed as negative, putting the county over the 36,000 mark. 71 additional cases were listed as active, with almost 150 more cases listed as recovered, which leaves the county close to 8,000 since the start of the pandemic.  

Statewide Monday, the total number of tests were lower than average, with almost 9,000 processed. Over 5,700 negative tests were reported on Monday, with the state now climbing over 2.2 million total negative tests since March. Total positive tests came in lower than average as well, with 2,155 confirmed cases reported. Also of note is the 85% of all cases reported, have now been classified as recovered, a total of over 352,000.
