FDL Fire

Fond du Lac Fire officials are trying to determine the cause of a fire, which damaged a home at 111 E. Johnson Street just before 10 p.m. last night. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says the fire started on the outside of the house and burned up the outer wall on the Northeast corner of the house. The blaze was quickly extinguished, but not before it caused moderate damage to the siding and refuse containers. Chief O’Leary says, “The resident had an outside fire pit burning in the back yard, but not in close proximity of where the fire broke out.” No one was injured during the fire.  Fond du Lac Fire Department photo.
