FDL Fire and Rescue Gets Help in Making Water Rescues

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue worked through the night Thursday into Friday to rescue people from rising floodwaters, but they were not alone in their efforts. On a Facebook post Friday morning, the fire department said they had 14 agencies help them make water rescues through a Mutual Aid Box Alarm (MABAS) System. Of those 14 agencies, two were law enforcement water rescue teams. A total of 90 personnel responded, including 66 Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue staff members – both on-duty and callback personnel. As always – law enforcement and emergency management personnel remind you to stay off of flooded roads.
