FDL Fire And Rescue Gets New Equipment

During the last couple weeks of 2015 Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue added two new pieces of equipment. Chief Peter O’Leary says that included a new ambulance. He says it cost more than $200,000, but the money for it came out of the revenue they raise through ambulance fees. O’Leary says they purchase a new ambulance every two years. He says more expensive was the new rescue pumper they got for fighting fires. But he says they are mindful of the more than $650,000 they spent to make that purchase. He says they appreciate the equipment they are able to purchase and make sure they get the most out of it with the maintenance that they perform to keep it in running order.
