FDL Fire/Rescue Crews Called Out Early Friday Morning

Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue was on the scene early this morning putting out a garage fire. Crews were called out just after 4:30 a.m. Friday morning to the 200 block of Linden St., for reports of a 2-car garage on fire. A Police Officer on duty noticed the smoke in the area, and tracked the smoke to the source, which was located in the back of the residence. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire but not before it caused heavy damage to the garage and the contents inside. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and there were no injuries reported. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary said “If not for the police officer’s quick discovery of the fire, this situation could have been much worse.” FDLFR was assisted on the scene by FDLPD.
