FDL Fire & Rescue Hopes to Keep the Wreaths Red Again This Year
Another holiday season is here, and that means another
season of trying to keep the wreaths red at all three Fond du Lac Fire
Stations. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue launched the “Keep the Wreaths Red”
campaign during the Christmas season of 2013. “There’s one at each station –
station one, two and three,” Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase said.
“And our goal is that we want to keep the wreath red – all red bulbs – if you
see a wreath and it has a white bulb in it, that means we had a fire related to
holiday decorations.” So far, campaign has been successful, with the wreaths
remaining red for the past six holiday seasons.
