FDL High School Student Is A Global Scholar

The Fond du Lac School Board this week recognized High School student Kayla Tucker for being the school’s first global scholar. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says to attain the distinction Kayla had to earn credits in world language, courses with global content, be well read on books with global content, and participate in school and local global activities. German Teacher Janice Keck helped Kayla through the process. Sebert says Keck was excited to share the news about the program. He says Keck is now working with other students who would also like to become global scholars. Sebert and School Board member Linda Uselmann presented Kayla with one of the school board’s Fondy Pride awards Monday night.
