FDL Homecoming Football Game Moved to Thursday

Fond du Lac High School has announced they will be moving
their homecoming football game up one day due to recent heavy rain, and more rain
in the forecast for Friday. The Cardinals game against Oshkosh North will now
be played Thursday (October 10th) at 7 pm at Fruth Field, instead of
Friday night.

Heavy rain last week left the field under water, and the
dry weather to start this week will allow the game to be played on Thursday. Athletic
Director Dave Michalkiewicz says rain in the forecast starting Thursday night
and lasting into Friday night raises concerns that the field could be come
unplayable very quickly.

In addition, the Homecoming Parade will be moved to
Thursday at 5 pm. The parade route will stay the same – starting at the
intersection of Guindon Boulevard and south Main Street and proceeding north to
9th Street to Fruth Field.

The Homecoming Pep Rally will be moved to Thursday during 3rd
hour at the High School.

Fond du Lac High School will also be rescheduling a home volleyball
match against Appleton East that was to be played on Thursday. That match will
be rescheduled to either Friday (October 11th) or Monday (October 14th)
at the Acuity Field House.
