FDL HS Culinary Team Places Third In The State
Fond du Lac High School’s Culinary Team recently competed in the Wisconsin ProStart Invitational at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee placing third from among 26 teams across the state.
As part of the competition, the Culinary Team prepared menus, costing sheets, and a 3-course meal. They were judged on safety and sanitation (including transport of ingredients), set-up, clean up, knife skills, teamwork, food presentation, uniform, and the final product’s taste. They also have limited access to water (15 minutes) prior to the commencement of the cooking phase (60 minutes), and they are allowed only 2 burners for cooking. Every team member had a vital role in the competition and showed flawless execution at competition.
