FDL Lawyer Named Dodge County Circuit Court Judge

Governor Scott Walker has appointed a Fond du Lac lawyer to be a Dodge County Circuit Court judge. Martin J. De Vries will replace retiring Judge John R. Storck. De Vries says it is something he wanted to do. He says it is perfect timing and he will be honored to serve as a judge. He grew up outside of Randolph where he and his family now live. He went to high school in Waupun. He practiced law in California from 1989 to 1999. In 1999 be joined Sager & Colwin, S.C. in Fond du Lac. Last year he also became a municipal judge in the Town of Fox Lake. He says that’s been a good experience, but doesn’t compare to being a circuit court judge. Judge Storck will retire in October. De Vries says he will become a Dodge County judge around that time. He says he will have to have some training before then.
