FDL Man Arrested After “High Risk” Traffic Stop Saturday Night

A 33-year-old Fond du Lac man is being held in the County
Jail on several charges after a “high risk” traffic stop Saturday night.

Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein tells us that officers
attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of 4th Street and Everett
Street just after 10 pm on Saturday. The driver did not initially stop, but
eventually pulled over in the area of 4th and Vincent Street.

Klein says officers conducted a high-risk stop on the
vehicle, due to the driver not immediately pulling over and because driver began
reaching around inside the car and refused to come out. Officers also believe
the driver had ingested something while inside the car.

After a short period of time, the man came out and was
taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was transported to the
hospital after complaining of stomach pains and admitting to officers that he
had swallowed “something”.

The man faces charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver
PCP, Bail Jumping and Misdemeanor Fleeing and was cited for Operating After
Revocation and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device.
