FDL Man Arrested on Warrant After Fleeing Deputy at Government Center

A man is in custody after running from a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy at the Fond du Lac County Government Center. Around 2:50pm Monday afternoon, the deputy was speaking with the 34-year old man – who had an active warrant for his arrest for Child Support.
The man then took off running from the deputy, who tried stopping him with a taser. That attempt failed and the man continued disobeying orders to stop as he fled from the building.
The City of Fond du Lac Police Department then assisted in making an arrest near Arndt Street and Packer Street just minutes later. Nobody was injured during the incident.
The man is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on the outstanding warrant and a charge of Resisting and Obstructing an Officer.
