FDL Man Charged In Connection With Home Invasion

A 25-year-old Fond du Lac man is facing charges for allegedly participating in a home invasion in the 300 block of 4th Street in Fond du Lac on March 24th. According to the criminal complaint when police arrived two people were fleeing the residence. Bobby Williams was carrying two backpacks and a handgun when he tripped and fell. Police took him into custody. Officers found over $5,300 in cash, marijuana, cocaine, MDMA and other drugs in the backpacks. Another $21,000 and two handguns were also seized at the residence. The three people inside the home were robbed at gunpoint. Williams told police he had gone to the home with two men to buy some marijuana. He said he was texting on his phone and just entering the residence when one of the men he came with ran towards him and tossed two backpacks and a handgun at him. Shortly afterwards he was caught by police. Bond was set at $300,000 cash when Williams made his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
