FDL Man Charged in Shooting Incident

The Fond du Lac man arrested after a shooting last week near the intersection of Division Street and Lincoln Avenue has been formally charged in Fond du Lac County Court. Mohamed G. Elmhdati is facing charges of Armed Robbery and 1^st Degree Reckless Injury by use of a dangerous weapon after making his initial appearance in court today (Tuesday). Elmhdati also faces charges of 1^st and 2^nd degree recklessly endangering safety and aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm. The shooting happened last Tuesday and left a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Elmhdati was taken into custody last Wednesday by members of the Fond du Lac Police SWAT team at a home on north Sophia Street. He’s due back in court for a preliminary hearing on March 15^th.
