FDL Man Gets 90 Days In Jail For Former Teacher’s Death

The 24-year-old Fond du Lac man who allegedly was driving drunk when he hit a bicyclist causing the Fond du Lac man’s death was recently sentenced. Christopher Schneider was sentenced in Fond du Lac County Court to 90 days in jail and 3 years of probation after pleading no contest to a 2nd degree reckless injury and drunken driving charges. Schneider hit 36-year-old Eugene Henry Dennis from behind on September 18th of 2011 while the former Fond du Lac High School teacher and coach, was bicycling on County Highway WH. Dennis was wearing a helmet and had a light on the back of the bicycle. He died a day later at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
