FDL Man Gets Jail And Probation For Vehicular Homicide Charge

The 33-year-old Fond du Lac man who t-boned another car on a frontage road leading to the death of one elderly woman and serious injuries for another has been sentenced. Joseph Morales was sentenced Thursday in Fond du Lac County Court to 9 months of conditional jail time and 6 years of probation on charges of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and knowingly operating while revoked causing great bodily harm. Charges stem from an accident in May of last year on Pioneer Road at Grove Street in Fond du Lac. Morales was reaching for or using a cell phone when he hit a car driven by 79-year-old Lorraine Ryan of Eden. She died from her injuries and her passenger 76-year-old Alice Wood, also of Eden, was seriously injured.
