FDL Man in Custody after Firing a Gun During Foot Chase
A 34-year-old
man is being held in the county jail after police say he fired a gun while
police were chasing him on foot. City of
du Lac
after 7:30 pm Thursday for a call that a man was making threats and claimed to
have a gun. No shots were fired and the suspect left the scene before police
arrived. Just after 8 pm, officers went to a home in the 300 block of
to look for the suspect. Officers found a man matching his description walking
in the area, told him to stop, and he ran. The suspect led police on a foot
chase for about a block, during which he fired a round from a gun. Police took
the man into custody at gun point without incident. No one was injured and
police did not fire their weapons. The man is being held in jail on a probation
warrant.
