FDL Man Sentenced For Heroin Overdose Death

A 40-year-old Fond du Lac man who supplied a Town of Springvale man with the heroin that led to his death has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision. Jason Van Norman was sentenced in Fond du Lac County Court this week. District Attorney Eric Toney echoes Judge Gary Sharpe’s comments that there are no winners in these types of cases. Two others are facing charges for Devin Perry’s death. Toney says they are going after those who supply illegal and sometimes deadly drugs in the community. He says unfortunately heroin and opiate overdoses are becoming far too common. Twenty-seven-year-old Joshua Mulder of Waupun and 66-year-old Alonzo Corneilus of Milwaukee are facing similar charges for the October 2012 death of Perry.
