FDL Man Sentenced For Threatening Ex Girlfriend With Gun

The 20-year-old Fond du Lac man who threatened his ex-girlfriend with a gun last summer has been placed on probation for 5 years. Fond du Lac County Judge Peter Grimm also ordered Jerry Yang to serve 30 days in jail as a condition of probation on a 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety charge. Two other charges were read into the record and dismissed. According to the criminal complaint Yang and his girlfriend broke up last August 28th and Yang showed up later that day outside the business where the woman works. He was despondent and threatening to hurt himself. He also pointed the gun at her. No one was harmed during the incident. The judge also imposed and stayed a one year prison sentence and 5 years of extended supervision.
