FDL Man Sought Following Pursuit In City

A Tuesday evening traffic stop results in a Fond du Lac man being sought.

FDL County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to make a stop just before 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, September 14^th, 2021, on a vehicle that left the scene of a domestic incident in the City of Fond du Lac.

The traffic stop was attempted on N. Park Ave and McWilliams St. in the City of Fond du Lac. Deputies used their emergency lights and sirens to initiate the stop, but the suspect vehicle failed to yield and instead increased speed, ignoring traffic signals and at one point drove the wrong way down a one way street.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy terminated the pursuit after approximately 1.7 miles., but City of Fond du Lac Police Department located the suspect vehicle unoccupied parked on the street. Law enforcement agencies were unable to locate the suspect at this time, however, the Fond du Lac PD was able to identify the suspect, through their investigation.

The 23 year old male from Fond du Lac will be charged with 2^nd degree reckless endangering safety, eluding, and multiple traffic citations. The investigation is ongoing.

There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit.
