FDL Noon Rotary Gift To The Community

The Fond du Lac Noon Rotary is celebrating its 100th anniversary in a big way by giving a $100,000 grant to the Fond du Lac community. Rotary Past President Steve Dilling says they are looking for ideas that will benefit the community and will take those ideas in writing until March 21st. He says, “Today we are soliciting ideas from the community for the projects that would help the community in a number of different ways. It could be artsy, it could be healthy, bike trail-ish, it could be parks. You name it.” Rotary Past President Sandi Roehrig says the idea doesn’t have to be comprehensive. She says, “What we want to impress upon people is just submit your ideas. You don’t have to work out all the details. You don’t have to decide who is going to do what and how they are going to do it. We are looking for big, great, grand ideas that will enhance our community. Make it a little better and have something we can be proud of.” The idea should not require on-going Rotary financial support. Submissions should be sent to Fond du Lac Noon Rotary, PO Box 182, Fond du Lac, WI. 54936-0182.
