FDL PD Makes 4 OWI Arrests In 12 Hours
FDL PD made four separate OWI arrests over a 12 hour period on Thursday(March 3rd, 2022).
All four were result operating while intoxicated/impaired driving incidents.
Incident #1 occurred at 12:00 PM when officers were investigating a two vehicle crash near W. Scott St. and N. Hickory St. where a 30 year old male was arrested for operating while impaired.
Incident #2 occurred at 6:45 PM which involved a citizen report of a possible intoxicated driver, where officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of W. Rolling Meadows Dr. and a 43 year old male was arrested for operating while intoxicated and issued a citation for operating while suspended as well as open intoxicants.
Incident #3 occurred at 9:13 PM when officers were investigating a two vehicle crash near W. Johnson St. and N. Pioneer Rd. where a 44 year old female was arrested for operating while intoxicated and issued a citation for a red light violation.
Incident #4 occurred at 11:49 PM near W. Division St. and N. Macy St. which involved a citizen report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and a slow speed pursuit ensued. The 52 year old female driver in this incident was arrested for operating while intoxicated 2nd offense and eluding.
