Detective Henning has served as a member of the Police Department’s SWAT Team since 2012, and has held specialized assignments on that team as a Sniper and as an Assistant Team Leader. Among his other noteworthy accomplishments, Detective Henning was instrumental in
helping to build a local Drug Endangered Children Team, and he has provided countless hours of instruction and education for area employers and other groups on illegal drug activity awareness and recognition.

“Detective Henning has been an integral part of the Department’s efforts to protect our City and the region from the scourge of violence and death that accompanies illegal drug trafficking. His efforts have been so exceptional that United States Attorney General William Barr selected him as one of only 23 Officers throughout the nation to be
recognized for his investigative successes. However, Detective Henning’s contributions and value to our Department and community go far beyond that. He shares a deep commitment to our mission to serve and protect this great City, and the pursuit of our Department’s vision to be the agency that sets the standard in excellence in the law
enforcement profession. He has worked tirelessly to earn this promotion and he will be an excellent addition to the Detective Bureau of the City of Fond du Lac Police Department.”
