FDL PD Looking For Suspect In High-Speed Pursuit

The driver of a vehicle that lead officers on a high-speed pursuit late Friday evening is still being sought.

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department responded Friday (6/2/2022) just before 10:25 p.m., to the area of Thomas St. and Boardman St. for a report of a suspicion incident.

While responding to the call, a FDLPD Officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly on Hickory St. near Forest Ave.

The FDLPD Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the suspect vehicle failed to pull over and fled.  The vehicle pursuit reached speeds of approximately 35 MPH traveling through areas in the northwest portions of the City before coming to stop in the middle of the roadway on Lincoln St at Thomas St.

The driver of the vehicle then fled on foot.  

Officers set up a perimeter in the immediate area, with a K9 unit deployed to assist in locating the driver.  

The driver of the vehicle has not been located at this time.

The investigation into this incident and vehicle pursuit is at the preliminary stages and remains under active investigation. No further details or information are being released at this time.
