FDL Police Captain Krause Graduates FBI Academy

The Fond du Lac Police Department has announced that Captain Scott Krause has graduated as a member of the 284th session of the FBI National Academy.

The graduation ceremony took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia on December 8.

Nationally, fewer than one percent of officers have the opportunity to attend the program.

Known for its academic excellence, the National Academy offers ten weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training.

The 284th session had 237 law enforcement officers from 49 states and the District of Columbia. The class also included members of law enforcement agencies from 25 countries, 5 military organizations, and 5 federal civilian organizations.

Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says “The experiences Captain Krause had will be incredibly valuable to our Department and community.”

Krause has been a member of Fond du Lac Police Department since 2001. In 2007, he was assigned to the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group – Drug Unit where he rose to second in command, serving the four county area of Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Outagamie and Calumet Counties.

In 2011, he was promoted to the rank of Detective for the Fond du Lac Police Department.

He has also served as a member of the department’s SWAT Team and held the positions of Entry Team Operator, Sniper, and Assistant Team Leader. In 2013, he was appointed as the Commander of the SWAT Team where he continues to serve.
