FDL Police Dept Applies For Federal Grant

The Fond du Lac Police Department is applying for a federal grant that will help them with evidence storage. The City Council this week gave its nod of approval to apply for the $13,850 grant. Assistant Police Chief Steve Thiry says that’s less than they usually get through the federal grant, but will help them purchase refrigeration equipment for their evidence room, which allows them to store evidence that needs refrigeration. The overall cost for the project is nearly $15,000. The money will be used to purchase a commercial freezer and commercial refrigerator.
