FDL Police Investigate Attempted Break In

Fond du Lac Police were called to a residence on Morris Street
for a report of suspicious activity Friday night. The caller witnessed two men
smash out windows of a residence and possibly enter it. The witness told police
he believed one of the man had a handgun. Police searched the residence and were
unable to locate anyone. Officers attempted to stop a man who was in the area
for questioning. The man fled on foot and was taken into custody at a residence
on Elm Street. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a probation
hold and additional charges are pending as the investigation continues. The
incident was reported at 9:22 p.m. Friday evening.
