FDL Police Investigating Attempted Child Enticement Incident

Fond du Lac Police are looking for a suspect in an
attempted child enticement incident at a park Wednesday afternoon. Police say
the incident happened around 1:15 in the afternoon at Catherine Whittier Park –
located just east of Park Avenue between east Second Street and Third Street.
The aunt of a 4-year-old girl called police after an unknown man approached the
girl and asked her if she wanted ice cream and asked her to come to his truck. The
aunt intervened, and the man was seen leaving the park going east in a white,
newer, mid-size 4-door Chevy SUV with tinted windows. Half of the Chevy logo on
the back of the SUV has been scratched off.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40’s, around
5-foot-eight inches tall. Police say he has shoulder-length gray hair, minimal
facial scruff – and was last seen wearing black sweat pants, a white t-shirt, a
black zip up hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 920-906-5555
