FDL Police Investigating Damage to Window, Door at Chegwin Elementary

Fond du Lac Police are investigating a report of damage
to windows at a school. Police were called Monday morning to Chegwin Elementary
on Merrill Avenue for a report of damage that was caused by a BB Gun sometime
over the weekend. According to police call logs, a window and door on the east
side of the building were damaged sometime between 11:30 Friday night and the
time of the call on Monday. Costs to repair the damage are estimated at around
$1,600. Police have not identified a suspect in the case – and anyone with
information is asked to call the Crime Alert number at 920-322-3740.


Police are also continuing to investigate a number of
reports of vandalism from over the weekend. A number of residents overnight
Friday and Saturday morning reported damage caused by BB guns and paintballs,
and a few cars had been egged. No suspect(s) have been identified in these
cases.
