FDL Police Investigating “Suspicious Incident” on East Side of City

Fond du Lac Police are investigating a suspicious incident that
happened Thursday on the east side of the city.

A news release says the incident happened around 2:20 pm on
Campus Drive between University Drive and Prairie Road on the south side of the
UW-Oshkosh, Fond du Lac Campus.

A caller who was driving through the area reported seeing a
car parked on the side of the road, with what appeared to be a female driver
and what appeared to be a man in the back seat, holding what the caller believed
to be a gun to the woman’s head.

Numerous officers were dispatched to the area, but were not
able to locate a car matching the vehicle’s description. No other calls were
received by 9-1-1 dispatchers about the incident.

Nearby schools, including Fond du Lac High School were
alerted to the situation – and an increased police presence was seen during dismissal
time as a precaution.

Police are looking for a black Chevy Cobalt, possibly a
2000’s model with a spoiler on the back. The woman in the driver’s seat was
described to have long, dark hair. No description was given for the person in
the back seat.
