FDL Public Library Presents Christmas On Main Street Tonight

As part of its History at Home series the Fond du Lac Public Library tonight will present a special program called “Christmas on Main Street.” Community Information Coordinator Terri Fleming says it will focus on Christmas in Fond du Lac in the 1950’s and 1960’s. She says downtown Fond du Lac was a shopping Mecca for the small towns and farm communities from around the County and around the region. She says Mary Leb will talk about some of the bygone stores, restaurants and shops that made the City a destination at Christmas time. Fleming says Leb did the program last year and it proved to be a hit people were asking the library to repeat. The 6 p.m. program is free to attend.
