FDL Pursuit Ends With Milwaukee Man Arrested

A high-speed pursuit in Fond du Lac Sunday (5/15/2022) has resulted in a Milwaukee man being taken into custody.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop just before 5:30 pm. Sunday, on a vehicle that had committed a number of moving violations. The stop occurred on Hickory St. near Hwy. 41 in Fond du Lac.

During the traffic stop, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was asked to step out of the vehicle. The male exited briefly, then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene, through a gas station parking lot then back on to Highway 41 from Hickory Street.

During the pursuit, the male was observed throwing two bags and a cell phone from his vehicle. The suspect vehicle reached speeds of approximately 120 mph before exiting on Johnson St where he had stopped in traffic and was boxed in by law enforcement squad cars. Officers performed a high risk stop and the suspect was taken into custody.

The pursuit traveled 4.1 miles. There were no reported damages to any vehicles or property. There were no reported injuries from the pursuit.

Wisconsin State Patrol and the City of Fond du Lac Police Department assisted with the pursuit.

The 31 year old male from Milwaukee was arrested and is facing multiple felony drug charges and other charges from the pursuit.
