FDL School Board Approves Community Survey

The Fond du Lac School Board
has approved a community survey that will be going out to residents in the
school district later this month. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says
The survey will inform people of the
financial picture for the district, it will inform people of the different types of projects the
district could attack, and it will ask their opinions and preferences on which
of those projects we should think about, and when they look at the dollar
amount that each of those projects cost – what is their tax tolerance and how
much would they be willing to spend.”

Sebert tells us the district has $68 million in projects they can tackle with no impact to taxpayers, but around $145 million in projects were identified during a recent district facility study. The surveys will be
mailed out to people in the district the week of September 24
th, and
the school board is expected to discuss the results in late October.
