FDL School Board To Discuss Face Coverings

The FDL School Board is set to meet later today, and will officially consider the retirement announcement issued last week by current interim superintendent Sharon Simon, who has been with the district for 33 years, and has been the interim superintendent for the 2020/2021 school year.

The board will also be discussing face mask guidelines for the remainder of this school year. Erin Brendelson, Health Programs Supervisor for the District will update the board on the latest information from the WI Dept of Health Services and the Fond du Lac County Health Department regarding mask and quarantine guidance.

Fond du Lac County Health Department Officer Kim Mueller, in a memo sent to the district last week, is continuing to recommend that schools should require all staff and students to wear face coverings when indoors, as they remain an important and effective mitigation strategy. The School Board is set to meet Monday at 5:00 p.m.
