FDL School Board Updated On Virtual/Blended Instruction, WiFi Hotspot Accessibility

The Fond du Lac School Board met virtually in a workshop this week, and was updated as to the numbers of students learning both in-person as well as virtually in the school. Director of Pupil Services for the District, Katie Moder, informed the Board that a total of 5,449 students are attending classes through the blended model, while 1,202 students are attending virtually. The Board also spent a great deal of time talking about internet access for students and families. A total of 256 requests had been made so far this year in regards to obtaining District-issued WiFi hotspots, with 118 families having been connected so far. The Board continues to discuss the next best options as to when students may return to in-person instruction on a full-time basis.
