FDL School District Budget And Tax Levy Approved

The Fond du Lac School Board Monday evening approved a $109 million budget and $32 million tax levy. The mill rate will be down by 44 cents to $8.83. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says that is due to several things. One factor is increased state aid to the district and there was also a nearly 3 percent increase in property values. Sebert emphasizes the budget allows them to continue to offer a good education to district students. Sebert notes this is the first time the mill rate has been less than $9 in his time as superintendent. Sebert just entered his 9th year as the district’s superintendent.
