FDL School District Updates Parents on “Safer at Home” Order

With Governor Evers extending Wisconsin’s “Safer at Home”
order, all public and private K-12 schools will now remain closed through the remainder
of the 2019-2020 school year. In response to the new guidelines, the Fond du
Lac School District sent a letter home to parents outlining the next steps they
are taking to assist students and staff.

The letter explains that their primary focus as a district
continues to be connecting with our students, and providing social, emotional
and academic support. Virtual learning will continue for the rest of the year
for students, and the district says they will also continue providing food
service to children for the rest of the year. Officials say they are still discussing
what will happen with graduation and end-of-the-year celebrations. Parents will
also be notified about how their child can get any personal belongings they
left in classrooms, desks and lockers.
