FDL Schools Superintendent Pleased With DPI Report Card For District

Fond du Lac Schools Superintendent Jim Sebert says he is pleased with the result of recent school and district report cards recently released by the state’s Department of Public Instruction. He says overall the district averaged a four out of a possible five points for its schools, which means the district exceeded expectations. He says it is only because of the work of the schools and the people in the district’s schools making things happen. Only the High School got a lower grade meeting few expectations. Sebert says the school barely missed out on meeting expectations. He says the report cards issued by the DPI now much better reflect the work schools are doing compared to earlier versions. He says they factor in poverty in a school differently and count growth versus academic achievement differently based on poverty levels in schools, which he says is a nice update. Lakeside and Waters Elementary Schools got the top score of significantly exceeding expectations, while seven others exceeded expectations, and five others met expectations.
