FDL Senior Center Director Says Slow Process To Re-Open Doors To Public

As the world hopes for a return to “normal” very soon, one of the frequently asked questions of the staff at the Fond du Lac Senior Center is when will seniors be allowed back into the building to gather and take part in different programs? Senior Center Director Cathy Loomans explains it’s going to be a slow process to re-open the doors to the public.

“We do have a plan in place for slowly opening. It will look different. The programs that we offer will be programs where we can follow the CDC guidelines along with state, county and city recommendations, so people will be six feet apart and social distanced. They will wear masks.”

Loomans says the Senior Center has begun offering some of their programming outdoors in area parks, and will continue to do so as the weather allows. More information and announcements regarding the Senior Center’s re-opening plan can be found in their monthly newsletter and on Facebook.
