FDL Standoff/Arson Suspect Charged

The 40-year-old Fond du Lac man suspected of setting a
house fire and being involved in a standoff with police last Monday has been
charged. Among the charges filed against Shannon Rogler are one count each of
attempted 1st degree intentional homicide, burglary, arson and failing to comply
with an officer. Rogler is accused of setting a house fire at 65 North Hickory
Street and of firing 26 rounds off during a standoff including shooting at a
police officer. No one was hurt during the fire and the standoff. Rogler will
make his initial court appearance on the charges next Tuesday in Fond du Lac
County Court. District Attorney Eric Toney says additional charges may be filed.
