FDL Standoff Suspect Bound Over For Trial

The 29-year-old Fond du Lac man who barricaded himself in the bathroom of
his home two weekends ago has been bound over for trial. Anthony Miotke was in
Fond du Lac County Court for a preliminary hearing Friday. Probable cause was
found to bind him over for trial. He was also arraigned and pled not guilty to
the charges he’s facing. Fond du Lac Police say he was armed with a knife when
he got into an argument with a woman at 61 N. Marr. After barricading himself in
the bathroom he refused to come out. The police department called in its SWAT
team. Eventually negotiators got him to surrender without incident. Nobody was
injured during the incident on February 13th. He’s facing 12 different charges
including battery, disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer, and bail
jumping.
